Sutton & District Training

...the way forward for your future

Pre-16

What is the Pre-16 Programme?

This service is designed to support our learners, typically aged 14 to 16, who need direction and skills to make informed choices for their future development.  For example the learner may not be currently attending main-stream education and experience low self esteem or challenging behavioural issues.

We challenge this through focused and individualised training programmes designed to meet the needs of the learner.  We have an open door policy enabling training to be accessed from one day per week to a full academic year.  We have developed strong working relationships with schools and Pupil Referral Units. This service has recently fulfilled the criteria for the Quality Assessment framework. We are the preferred providers for the Local Authorities.

Below is a list of current course options.  For further details please click on the Training Courses link for full description.

It's not all work!

Our enrichment activities are designed to be fun. These include football, camping, water sports, fitness camp, breakfast club and educational visits.  These activities help to develop the learners’ sense of being part of the team, their communication skills and to ultimately prepare them for the next stage of their life post leaving school.
