Sutton & District Training's statement of the incident that occurred on the 27th January 2026
28th January 2026 -
A student was a victim of a crime whilst in the community, they were not in centre and the perpetrator/s of the crime were not students of Sutton & District Training. The victim returned to centre to seek help. Our immediate action was to put everyone in lockdown to ensure all students and staff were safe.
Due to the nature of the incident, the response from the emergency services was in line with their protocol.
The safety of the students is always of the utmost priority. The student involved in the incident will make a full recovery and our team members will always be available to support all students with their emotional and mental wellbeing.
There is an ongoing police investigation, due to this we cannot disclose any further information, however we would like to reiterate that this was not peer on peer violence and we expect this to be an isolated incident.
We are open as usual with a full compliment of staff. If parents or carers have any further questions, please contact head office on 0208 687 5225.
