Learning Support Assistant
Principle roles and responsibilities

Be confident to manage challenging behaviour.

Understand behaviour as a form of communication.

Be a committed team player.

Support the emotional and social development of students, reporting any concerns to the Safeguarding Lead.

Work with vocational tutor to devise and implement strategies to work towards outcomes identified in student EHCP.

Support with planning teaching and learning sessions, this will include preparing resources and setting up environment ready for sessions.

Provide reports on the progress of your student/s as and when required.

Prioritise daily record keeping detailing support needs and progression.
-
Update provision maps and understand the support needs of your allocated students.

Accompany learners on enrichment activities inside and outside of the classroom.

Develop knowledge of the needs of the learners in class and seek advice from Victoria Douglas (Learning Support Manager).

Provide regular feedback to Learning Support Manager and outside agencies about your student’s difficulties and progress.

Key Information

Hours range between 18 to 24 hours per week.
-
Immediate and September 2024 start date.
-
£10-£14 per hour.

Job availability in both our Crashalton and Rosehill locations.
