A next step for learners and school leavers who are ready to explore employment opportunities or are still deciding on their future career path. This one-year programme is designed to build confidence, independence and employability skills, helping learners prepare for the world of work and make informed decisions about their future.

Learners will gain the knowledge, skills and confidence needed to progress into employment, apprenticeships or further training, while developing the independence required for adult life.
Helping our students to find their feet and pursue a qualification in an area of genuine interest to them.

​Accessible for SEND:
Sutton and District Training strive to make all our vocations accessible to young people with SEND, class tutors and LSA’s introduce vocational language and terminology and allowing over-teaching to solidify their learning. Adaptive assessment methods such as allowing audio recordings in place of written assignments ensure that all learners can achieve their full potential.
Learners will also have access to the Preparation for Adulthood & work skills curriculum. As well as enrichment activities and trips to career fairs and college open days.

Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this course. An initial assessment will be carried out to determine the level at which is best suited for each learner.
